Structural Floor Renovation: From Damaged Wood to High-Strength Laminate

"Sometimes, the problem isn't the floor itself, but what's underneath. In this project, we carried out a thorough intervention to guarantee a perfect and long-lasting finish: Repair and Leveling: We removed damaged sections of the old wood flooring and applied self-leveling compound over the concrete to correct imperfections and ensure a perfectly flat surface. Advanced Vapor Barrier: We installed a DMX 1-Step 2.0 blue membrane, crucial for preventing moisture penetration, mold growth, and providing thermal insulation, especially on lower floors or in basements. Reinforced Subfloor: We laid plywood panels over the vapor barrier to create a solid and stable base. Final Installation: We finished with a light oak laminate floor, achieving a seamless transition with the original wood areas that we chose to preserve and restore."
